The Department of Workforce Development has made it easier to obtain a work permit for your child. All applications must be completed online.

A work permit is required before anyone under the age of 16 is allowed to work in any job except for agriculture or domestic service work.
Minors should receive a written intent to hire letter with the employer's correct mailing address to ensure that: a) the minor has been hired by the employer, and b) the minor has the employer's correct mailing address.
